Description
The State of Mississippi Internship Program provides students with valuable hands-on experience in public service. Interns will have the opportunity to gain practical knowledge, develop professional skills, and contribute to meaningful projects that support state agencies and government functions.
Responsibilities
- Assist in research, data analysis, and administrative support for state agencies.
- Participate in policy development, program implementation, and community outreach initiatives.
- Collaborate with various departments to support ongoing projects.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation as required.
- Attend meetings and training sessions to enhance learning opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors within the agency.
Qualifications
- Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in an accredited college or university.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must maintain good academic standing (GPA requirements may vary by agency).
Experience
No prior work experience required; however, relevant coursework or volunteer experience in government, public administration, business, law, or related fields is preferred.
