Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) is thrilled to announce new internship opportunities for students in 2024. The BWI Internship Students Program offers a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of airport management and operations.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in daily operations within different BWI departments, including aviation, customer service, and facilities management.
  • Support ongoing projects related to airport development and improvement initiatives.
  • Engage in data analysis and reporting tasks to contribute to decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special initiatives aimed at enhancing airport services.
  • Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to community outreach initiatives and airport events.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program.
  • Pursuing a degree in aviation management, business administration, engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong academic record with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for the aviation industry and airport operations.
Experience
  • Previous internship experience or coursework related to aviation, transportation, or related fields is advantageous but not required.
  • Familiarity with airport regulations and procedures is a plus.
Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
