Description
This paid internship program will place you in a dynamic team environment within one of the twelve Federal Reserve Banks or the Board of Governors in Washington D.C. You will work alongside experienced professionals on real-world projects, contributing to areas such as:
- Economic research and analysis: Assisting with research on economic trends, monetary policy, and financial stability.
- Supervision and regulation: Learning about the Federal Reserve's role in overseeing banks and protecting consumers.
- Payments and technology: Contributing to efforts to ensure a safe, efficient, and innovative payments system.
- Public affairs and outreach: Communicating the Federal Reserve's mission and activities to the public.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis using relevant data and economic models.
- Contribute to the development of reports, presentations, and other deliverables.
- Participate in meetings and discussions with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Learn and apply relevant software tools and technologies.
- Maintain a professional and ethical work ethic.
Qualifications
- Current undergraduate or graduate student in a relevant field, such as economics, finance, accounting, statistics, computer science, or public policy.
- Strong academic record with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status required.
Experience
- Prior internship or research experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience working in a professional setting is a plus.
