Responsibilities
Assist with department-specific tasks as assigned, which may include:
- Research and project assistance: Conduct research, assist with project development and implementation in areas relevant to your field of interest.
- Administrative support: Assist with data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks.
- Patient experience support: Interact with patients and families in a positive and professional manner, assisting with non-clinical tasks that enhance their experience (note: this may not be applicable to all internship opportunities).
- Observational shadowing: Observe healthcare professionals in various departments to gain insights into different healthcare careers.
- Marketing and social media support (if applicable): Assist with creating content, managing social media platforms, and supporting marketing initiatives (depending on the department).
- Attend department meetings and participate in team discussions as appropriate.
- Maintain a professional and positive demeanor while adhering to hospital policies and confidentiality protocols.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled student at an accredited college or university.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 (preferred).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience
- Prior volunteer or internship experience (preferred), particularly in a healthcare setting (a plus).
- Coursework relevant to your field of interest in healthcare (a plus).
Skills
