Description

VCA is thrilled to announce internship opportunities for students in 2024. This internship program provides a unique experience for individuals looking to explore the field of veterinary medicine and animal care. Interns will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced veterinarians and support staff, gaining hands-on experience in a variety of veterinary services.

Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians in daily clinical procedures.
  • Participate in the care and treatment of animals under supervision.
  • Support the management of medical records and documentation.
  • Contribute to client education initiatives on pet health and wellness.
  • Assist in laboratory procedures, including sample collection and analysis.
  • Participate in surgical procedures and post-operative care.
  • Provide support for general hospital operations and client services.
  • Attend training sessions and educational programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science).
  • Strong academic record.
  • Passion for animal care and veterinary medicine.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle animals with care and compassion.
  • U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States.
